The
Spring of 1998 saw the introduction of Osprey Ridge Golf Club to
the golfing population of Nova Scotia and surrounds. Situated in Bridgewater
on the beautiful South Shore of mainland Nova Scotia, this outstanding
new facility is destined to be one of Atlantic Canada's foremost golfing
experiences.
This signature golf course, designed
by Golf Digest award winner Graham Cooke, encompasses Graham's
belief that "golf course design must capture and enhance the natural beauty
of the land, setting the stage for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy
the experience of play". The multiple tees on each hole will allow the
golfer to enjoy their experience on a course that can play from 5300
yards to 6600 yards. No detail has been overlooked in the construction
of the golf course. The course boasts many features found on the top courses
of the world, including: timber retaining walls around some ponds; sparkling
white sand in the more than 50 bunkers guiding your way; greens
tees and fairways all seeded to bentgrass and maintained
at putting green quality and a fully computerized irrigation system to
assist in the maintenance of those features.
This first class golf course
also includes an outstanding array of practice facilities to improve and
prepare for your game and make your golfing experience truly memorable.
The new clubhouse which opened in August of 1998 has already developed
a solid reputation for excellent dining entertainment and special functions.
